30th January 2020 - Flexible Working Festival, Whitespace, Edinburgh
We're starting the year with fresh ideas in partnership with The Times, Scotland. This event is about helping your organisation to turn flexible working into rocket fuel - driving business performance in 2020 and beyond. 1st - 31st March 2020 - Scottish Workplace Journey Challenge
Sustrans Scottish Workplace Journey Challenge will be returning in March, registrations are now open. Simply register your workplace team and encourage colleagues to join you in logging walking, cycling, public transport and car-sharing journeys to/from work or for business travel.
22 April - 5 May 2020 – The Big Pedal - CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19
The UK’s biggest cycle and scoot to school event, by Sustrans to encourage children to cycle to and from school. Schools across the country compete to see who can earn the most points by cycling to school.

4th May 2020 (for 4 weeks) - Paths for All Special Step Count Challenge launched for spring 2020
The four-week spring Step Count Challenge will begin on the 4th of May when teams of five from across the country will motivate each other to move more. For the first time, those taking part will be able to sync Fitbits and activity trackers to a new-look Step Count Challenge website. Registrations will open very soon so keep an eye on Twitter and Instagram.

6th August 2020 – Cycle to Work Day 2020
Cycle to Work Day is a national event, championed by multi gold medal winning Paralympic cyclist, Dame Sarah Storey, which aims to encourage everyone to take to two wheels and cycle to work for just one day.

7th - 11th September 2020 - Zero Waste Week

14th - 20th September - Scotland's Climate Week 2020
Scotland’s Climate Week is back and will be taking place virtually! This year, the Scottish Government has partnered with Home Energy Scotland and Zero Waste Scotland among others to deliver a programme of events that are designed to benefit both businesses and the consumer. There will also be a series of ministerial announcements throughout the week, starting from Monday which will be linked to how public sector organisations can deliver their plans to reach net-zero by 2045. 16th to 22nd September 2020 - European Mobility Week
This is a European festival promoting environmentally sensitive transport and raising awareness of the nuisances causes by the use of private cars in the city (Air, noise pollution, congestion etc). Good opportunity to promote active travel and public transport usage. 22nd September is Car Free Day.

6th to 22nd September 2020 - Act TravelWise Week 2020
Act TravelWise is co-ordinating TravelWise Week 2020. The week-long campaign will be held at the same time as, and in co-operation with, European Mobility Week (EMW) They will be holding webinars this year from Monday 14 September onwards. 2020: This year's theme is ‘Zero-Emission Mobility for All’. The theme reflects the ambitious targets to become carbon-neutral by 2050. It also aims to highlight the importance of accessibility to zero-emission transport and promote an inclusive framework involving everyone.

8th October - Transport Research Institute's 6th Annual Electric Vehicle Event, Edinburgh
The 6th Annual Electric Vehicle Event is taking place on Thursday 8th October 2020 at Edinburgh Napier University’s Craiglockhart Campus. Michael Matheson, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity has confirmed that he will give the keynote address. Find out more here

The Rural Transport Convention is the focal event for those engaged in the development of future mobility solutions.
